To provide for and to promote awareness of the need for preservation, restoration, and maintenance of certain catacombs in Rome, other sites in Italy, and elsewhere, which house archival paintings, epigraphy, and artifacts depicting the culture and customs of early religions under the Roman Empire, and to document such activities;

To support research and scholarship in the fields of archaeology, art history, classical studies, history, comparative religions, or related subjects by making research grants;

To circulate exhibits and disseminate publications and information that will encourange an interreligious understanding through studying the relationships among religions of this period;

To cooperate with educational institutions in order to establish collections and displays of artifacts, photographs, maps, plans, replicas, and other materials of historical, archaeological, and religious significance.
