Manar al-Athar (Guide to Archaeology)
Based at the University of Oxford, Manar al-Athar is an online open-access photo-archive of buildings, monumental art, and archaeological sites of the Middle East, North Africa, and adjoining regions for use in education, research, and heritage work.  The archive’s geographic focus is on the former areas of the Roman Empire which later came under Islamic rule, such as Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and the Holy Land (Israel/Palestine). Its chronological range is from ca. 300 BC to the present.
