(Source: Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg): The Chair of Christian Archeology at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg has an immediate opening for a full time Research Associate (E 13 TV-L 100%) for an international research program for the study of the material culture of early Christianity along the so-called Silk Roads. This position is funded to the end of 2020. Applicants must have an advanced university degree in Christian Archeology or in a related field (Archaeological Sciences, Art History, Building Research, Cultural Studies, etc.), very good spoken and written German, and very good English. Preference is also given to candidates who have mastery of at least one modern foreign language of the study area (for example: Russian, Arabic, Farsi, Uzbek, Chinese).
